A touch glamorous!

A few steps away from the glamorous boulevard La Croisette, I find a gem; Five Seas. Modest compared to the majestic hotels like Martinez, Carlton and the Majestic but disarmingly grand in being small and fine. The jury of the ‘Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2014’ awarded the Five Seas Hotel in Cannes the Best Boutique Hotel in France for a reason.

The five-star hotel was particularly praised by this jury for its unique design and the excellent, service-oriented, qualities of the staff. Also the Brasserie SeaSens, awarded with a Michelin star, the Pâtisserie Intuitions, a paradise of macarons, and the Spa ‘Cinq Mondes’ are, according to the jury and myself, of high quality.

The philosophy behind ‘Five Seas’ was conceived by internationally prominent architects Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet. The small church, directly across the street from the hotel, aptly named ‘Notre Dame de Bon Voyage’ has been the great inspiration for them. Looking out on this ‘Notre Dame’ of Cannes, I realize that the Five Seas Hotel is the perfect location in this city full of allure.

On the highest floor of the hotel lies, like a well-hidden secret, the most unique and perhaps even the most exclusive suite in Cannes. Not only fantastic in terms of entourage but also with the best view over Cannes. Waking up here overlooking ‘Le Suquet’, the old part of Cannes, and ‘Le vieux Port’, is meant for special romantic moments.

The private Yacht of Five Seas, the COCA VI, you can book for a trip to Saint-Tropez, Monaco or to visit the nearby islands ‘Les Îles de Lérins’. This fully equipped Yacht has all the luxury you need. Perfect for a special day!
