Understated beauty!

Maalifushi by COMO stands out from the other hotels in the Maldives for its understated style. A philosophy you will find in all COMO resorts. Maalifushi is the only resort within the southern Thaa Atoll, which consists of 66 islands. One of those uninhabited islands also belongs to Maalifushi and is meant for you to enjoy privately during a delicious picnic or a romantic dinner. Definitely a unique experience!

From Malé, you will fly to Maalifushi by seaplane within 25 minutes. After landing in the clear, turquoise water, you will be welcomed at the jetty by the passionate staff.

Maalifushi has 66 rooms, suites and villas, both waterfront and beachfront. Special about the water villas: There are no rocks or stones under the villas. Perfect for snorkelers who want to dive straight into the Indian Ocean from their villa. The interior of all the rooms was designed by the Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi.

For the restaurants, the art was copied from the already established sister hotel Cocoa Island. For years, this hotel has been praised for its exceptional cuisine. The island is also proud of its Japanese restaurant ‘Tai’; Of this quality quite unique in the islands of the Maldives. Flexibility is the key at all the restaurants. The chefs are happy to accommodate special requests from children and discerning palates.

At Maalafushi, a COMO Shambala Spa is not to be missed. COMO stands for world-class spa facilities. No fewer than eight pavilions, all surrounded by the Indian Ocean and naturally cooled by gentle sea breezes. Yoga sessions are also on the menu here, by choice, daily. And oh yes … and do not be surprised if during your morning dive a manta ray swims with you. The Thaa Atoll has a large population!
