The romantic boutique hotel Esencia is located on the Riviera Maya on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Playa del Carmen is a twenty-minute drive away and historic Tulum just under half an hour. Each room features a large flat screen TV and iPod system. Upon my arrival, the iPod with pre-programmed relaxation music was waiting for me. Here, on the terrace, I thoroughly enjoy a glass of cool white wine and the lush garden full of bird sounds.
In addition to the Garden Rooms, Esencia offers other room types. Beautiful Ocean Suites with a panoramic view over the Caribbean Sea to the jungle behind. Or will you choose the Master Suite, the former residence of the Duchess? Still one of the best suites on the estate.
Looking for even more privacy? Then take your place in one of the Esencia Villas. These villas are completely private in the large garden. Spread over two floors you will find a high-tech media room with a perfect sound system, a large flat screen TV with CD/DVD player, a separate living room, very spacious outdoor terrace with private pool and lounge chairs. The master bedroom with terrace is located on the second floor, along with a large, luxurious bathroom. A second bedroom with its own bathroom is also there. Ideal for the kids or your friends….
