Higher realms!

Alila Jabal Akhdar is located 2000 meters high, on a plateau in the Al Hajar Mountains. Far from the busy capital Muscat, peace and quiet reign here. After a beautiful route and many winding roads, the hotel is still not visible. The stones used to build the hotel come from the mountainous area itself. It is completely included in nature.

Not only the location is high. The comfort here is also very high. This place is a paradise for adventure travelers and nature lovers. This is the undiscovered Oman! Fresh air, spectacular views, deserted villages, deep gorges and steep ravines. Jabal Akhdar has not been open long. The first Alila Hotel in the Middle East and once again high on Condé Nast Traveller’s Gold List. That promises something…

The construction of Alila Jabal Akhdar is based on an Omani Fortress. Upon entering, a large fireplace offers guests warmth in the cooler months. The 86 elegant Suites and Villas are located in the main building. The interior design makes extensive use of natural materials such as stone and wood. In this way a stylish atmosphere has been created in a warm manner. Much attention has also been paid to the bathrooms. A wonderful free-standing bath with an infinite view over the enchanting mountains, valleys and sometimes even over the clouds. Unique!

For the ultimate in relaxation, a visit to the Alila Spa is a must. Undergo a wonderful massage. The menu offers a wide choice and all treatments are oriented towards Asia, where the origin of Alila lies.

The Juniper Restaurant is the main restaurant. Here you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and choose from a surprising menu with dishes from all over the world. From local specialties to Mediterranean dishes and everything is prepared for you with fresh seasonal produce.

For a drink, the Rose Lounge is a perfect place. Named after the Damascus Rose. These roses color the surrounding hills here, from March to May, a soft pink. A walk through this rose paradise is then a fairy tale. When the roses have finished blooming, the leaves are used for rose water and soap. You will also find this scented soap in your bathroom.
