Carmo’s Boutique Hotel is located in the oldest town in Portugal, Ponte de Lima. About 40 minutes drive, north of Porto. A small, very special hotel, where the surrealist artist Dali could have walked out of! In addition, it is rural, lovely and wonderfully quiet.
Carmo’s Boutique Hotel has 15 luxurious rooms. The rooms and suites are decorated with a beautiful mix of modern and classic Portuguese styles. Some of the rooms have a beautiful view of the valley. The rooms have four-poster beds with premium Portuguese cotton sheets. The bathrooms have both a large bathtub and a separate shower and come with luxurious bathrobes and slippers. The second floor rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, while the first floor rooms have a private, small garden.
The traditional Portuguese restaurant serves dishes made with organic produce from the immediate area. Lots of fresh fish and seafood also on the menu. Your breakfast is reserved at the table in the restaurant, on request in your room or in your own garden.
The owner Raquel regularly organizes wine tastings and cultural & gastronomic events. Carmo’s also offers a number of excursions and activities in the beautiful Minho Region. Renting bicycles or a ride in a carriage along the river is also possible.
There is a beautiful garden with swimming pool and views of the surrounding mountains. For the treatments in the private Spa, the essential organic oils are formulated in-house. The treatments consist of massages and balneotherapy, also a Cleopatra bath with 100% goat’s milk is possible. Afterwards you can enjoy a glass of champagne or a warm herbal tea….
