Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is located in the Sabi Sand game reserve, directly on the Sabi River and within the Kruger National Park. With light and warm tones, the lodge is very stylishly decorated. There are six beautiful, extremely exclusive, suites. All six feature every imaginable comfort, including a private plunge pool overlooking the surrounding wilderness.
Getting up before the sun rises, driving through the morning fog in search of wildlife and then enjoying a beautiful rising sun on the horizon. I found it an unforgettable experience. Especially in winter, our summer and the dry season, the riverbeds of the Sabi River are the best places to spot game. Twice a day, you can go in a 4×4 safari vehicle, together with your ranger, in search of the ‘Big Five’.
After your safari, you can retire to the privacy of your suite or opt for a treatment in the Africology Spa. The facilities in the main building invite you to enjoy a drink at the bar or a delicious lunch on the wooden deck overlooking the bush and the river.
Not to be missed is the bush dinner. The table will be set especially for you in a beautiful setting. Surrounded by the light of lanterns, you will enjoy a gourmet dinner in the serene silence, with only animal sounds in the background.
